Group One: Winchester Repeating Arms Co. documents.

Following are a number of interesting technical documents. These "blue prints" are tooling drawings, many from nearly the turn of the previous century, drafted by engineers in the Winchester Engineering department and used by the companys' tool makers to build the tools on which many well respect firearms models were built. They are the original documents of record. Long before CAD and before technical drawings were drawn on paper (velem), draftsmen inked drawings on starched linen cloth using india ink. These linen documents are very well preserved for their age and are one of a kind. With the exception of a paper copy (blue print) that may have been made from a particular original linen, these documents are likely among the rarest of Winchester collectibles. Each of these documents are works of art in themselves. Most show an artists style in the layout and lettering.
