Purchase day.

Seeing the 1-D for the first time.
Serial number dates this machine to November 1927. Machine originally built for and sold to a well respected
engraving, stamp making firm 35 miles away from me. Still tight and true, a joy to work with.

The motor support column and motor assembly were long ago replaced by a shop built arm arrangement that mounts on
the right side of the machine to power the spindle. Pulley sizes are too small for higher spindle speeds and will need to
be addressed one day.

Finally in the shop.
