I participate in a number of shows and other related events during the year. Generally located in the New England region and upper Middle Atlantic States these shows permit me to speak to a large number of anglers with a serious interest in the bamboo fly rod. Those who have an opportunity to come to a show where I am in attendence will be able to cast samples of rods, discuss features and any special requirements. As plans do change, those anglers who are considering attending a show for the purpose of discussing their tackle requirements personally, should call or email before attending in order to confirm my participation plans.

The Anglers Summer Fest (at)
the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum.

Held on the last saturday of August, this outdoor show is held on the grounds of the museum where numerous venders of new and classic tackle, angling art and books and others show their wares. Some folks come to the show and fish the Willowemoc which flows along side the property.

September 2001. The Rodmaker's Gathering.
The Eastern Rodmakers Gathering at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum in Livingston Manor, New York. This is not a show but a gathering of bamboo rod makers and those interested in the craft. This notice is placed on this list only because it offers an opportunity for some to cast or sample bamboo rods built by many different makers. I expect to have more sample QUADS for folks to try. The casting of rods generally happens on a time as occurs basis as the registered participants (rod builders) will be busy in seminars. Individuals interested in dropping by to lawn cast rods should contact me to schedule a time to meet.
